Dear Parents and Students of the Glasgow High School Band,

As we begin to wrap up the school year I thought I would take a moment to reinforce the upcoming events for the band here at Glasgow.

We have a joint Gauger-Cobbs/Glasgow High School concert here at GHS on May 7th and 7:00.  This involves the Gauger band students as well as the Glasgow Concert Band and Steel Band.  We do need volunteers to help run a small concessions stand before and after the concert in the lobby.  This concert is a great opportunity to see the future of the Glasgow music program working with the current members!

Next we have our own spring concert here with the concert band, jazz ensemble, steel band, string ensemble and choirs on May 12th, again at 7:00.  We still are looking for help to man the concession table in the lobby.  Please consider volunteering as selling concessions is a great way to earn the band some easy money that is definitely needed.  Contact Mr. Rogalski or any member of the band parent board if you want to help.

Next is our annual GHS Band Banquet on May 14th.  In order to save money while provided the best possible experience, the band banquet will be held here at Glasgow this year and will be catered by Caffé Gelato.  An invitation is being sent home with students with relevant information.  All members of the band program are welcome to join us, including jazz ensemble, steel band, concert band and marching band.  Come out and celebrate another year with the GHS Band!

Finally is the GHS graduation on June 3rd at the Bob Carpenter Center.  The concert band will meet at Glasgow on the evening of June 3rd and go to the “Bob” via bus to play our traditional songs such as the Alma Mater and Pomp and Circumstance.  This is an important performance and 100% participation is needed.  If you have any questions, please contact me ASAP.  Email is a sure way to reach me, especially during the school day at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  I hope to see as many family members of our band students at the upcoming events as possible.

Sincerely,

Michael Rogalski
