Concert Band class is designed for students who are interested in taking part in any part of the band program at Glasgow High School.  It is recommended that any student who wants to be in the Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble or Percussion Ensemble also be a member of the Concert Band.

The Concert Band meets for one block during the day, every other day during the school year.  However, there will be at least three concerts during the year which require participation in the outside of the school day: one in December, in March, and in May.  Students are encouraged to take both Chorus and Band classes and any class conflicts will be worked out with the student, Mr. Rogalski and Mr. Celfo.

Concert Band requires that students have previous knowledge on a musical instrument.  If you are interested in joining but don’t play an instrument, see Mr. Rogalski for how to get lessons.  While most students in Concert Band have been playing for many years, a student who starts playing a new instrument this spring who works hard can be a successful member of the ensemble.  Just see Mr. R for lessons and help this spring.
